Pas osé mettre ça dans l'article précédent, pour pas froisser personne, surtout avec les belles chemises repassées, mais j'ai aussi vu mes 2 premiers camions de vidanges: i) un gros 10 roues à benne avec 4 gars en arrière et en gougounes en train d'empiler plusieurs étages de sacs que les 2 gars d'en bas lancent à bout de bras. Le plus souriant des 6 m'a salué en passant: "Sabaidee!", ii) un vrai camion de vidanges comme on les connait mais en plus japonais, avec personne en arrière, heureusement, et un bel autocollant "From the People of Japan" sur la porte du chauffeur. Comme tedtptlt*, ça se passait aussi en 2015: http://kpl.gov.la/En/Detail.aspx?id=8535. J'ai pas osé prendre de photo, je me sentais comme un Chinois à la carrière Miron un vendredi. Et puis sinon rien de spécial à part que j'ai pédalé lentement parce que ça beau être la saison des pluies, il pleut vraiment pas souvent et il fait encore chaud comme dans une peau d'ours.
C'est bien tranquille au bureau ce matin, je me remets à mes lectures hydrologiques en attendant la pluie.

The beginning of the Buddhist lent

Buddhist Lent is a period of three lunar months during the rainy season when monks are required to remain in one particular place or wat (temple). Monks and novices have to swear themselves to live in the same place. They can’t stay in the other places over night. During this period, monks are practicing meditation more than usual. Every full moon day, monks have to gather in one temple to recite “Phadhimoka” or 227 rules of monk. Khao Phansa Day is on the first day after the full moon of the eighth lunar month and marks the beginning of the three-month rainy season. The tradition of Buddhist Lent or the annual three-month rains retreat known in Lao as "Phansa". Khao Phansa means to remain in one place during the rainy season. There are two words “Khao and Phansa” Khao denotes “enter” Phansa represents a time of renewed spiritual vigor and Khao Phansa festival is a major Buddhism merit-making festival.
